Congratulations from the 'Antipodean' colonies on your Olympic triumphs.

It is rather presumptutious of Kiwis to speak on behalf of Australia but up
until two days ago they were claiming our(NZ) three gold medals as their own
under the guise of Oceania...and you guys think the Aussies give you a hard
time!!
Well done and what a great year for Great Britain.

cheers
Jeff

Are we not approaching this from the wrong direction in these days of Brent >
$100

What’s the estimated viscosity of Turkey fat, and if not suitable for an
engine, how would it react in a Moss box?

  Just a fort

Now the favoured lubricant of days past was castor oil - after all, it gave
its name to Castrol - so perhaps Castrol R would be the thing? Mind you, you'd
be left wondering whether it was the turkey or the castor oil that gave you the
trots!

  Shall I retire now?

  Regards,

  Owen.

I find that turkey is very adequately lubricated with Old Peculier.

I like the idea. Can we develope the scenerio?

I have eaten turkeys that might have benefited from some 10W50. After all
that white meat can be terribly dry.

So, let me get this straight: oil changes should be done on days when you
plan to eat turkey, which in the US will be Thanksgiving and in the UK,
Christmas. If the latter, do you do it after you've pulled the crackers or
before?

"Sorry Dear, can't help with the washing up, need to change the oil in the
Morgan." I wonder if that has ever been the prelude to a divorce?

Glad you helped us out there, Paul ;-)

    Owen.

The pan not the turkey is disposable.

You could use a disposable turkey roasting pan.

Should be good, Quentin and Julf, sump only holds less than 5lts inc
filter. Gerry.

I calculate it will hold 11.6 litres – so you’ll get 9.9 in, however the
level will be only a fraction below 1cm below the rim, but it will be quite a
job to lift it away without any slopping over the side.
