The answer is in dialectics:.when do improvements cease to improve a thing and instead, start to adulterate it with modernity? At what point should it be made illegal to further 'improve' a mog? I would certainly approve of drilling holes in the instruments, for example, to stop em misting up,and would approve even more if MMCC did it in the first place!I wouldnt, however approve of a ssssuper dooper design change, and calling the result an Aero thingummybob. replacing the wood with ally?- why not,.but at what point does it cease to be a Morgan, and just be a car with a morgan badge on it?............who knows the answer? Tradition for its own sake might be a bit backward looking for its own sake, but for those of us who like the rough and tumble of the thing, the traditional mog is delightfully uncivilised.(I still maintain my gripe about the instruments tho!

The more I get to know my Mog (by taking it to bits) the more I ask "why" Why are the floorboards wood, when they could be aluminium plate? Why is the fuel tank mounted on planks instead of direct to the chassis? Or onto another ali plate? Why is the fuel pump mounted on a bit of thin plate when it could be mounted on the same deck as the battery? OK, so the answer is 'because they have always been like that', but when others rebuild their cars, do they stick to tradition, or do they improve? Assuming, of course, that replacing plywood with ali is an improvement. Or am I blaspheming?
