It really depends on whether your original radiator is copper or aluminium. The original on my 2002 4/4 was aluminium and therfore not easily repaired when it failed. A leaky copper rad is a relatively easy fix and, as others have said, there are plenty of people out there who could fix it for you. I went the Peter Mulberry route and have absoluely no regrets. At the risk of repeating the advice of others, the root cause of rad failures is probably poor mounting and stress from vibration/flexing so take care about the fitting of your new one (or re-fitting the old one of course).
