Richard

I couldn't agree more.

This Club is a broad church and members buy their cars for many reasons. At
tonights Yorkshire Centre Noggin there was a member who is doing a complete
rebuild of an early Plus 8, folks who do sprinting and hill climbing and those
like myself who have no interest whatsoever in lying under a Morgan to look at
the oily bits. Good luck to those who do and to those who enjoy sprinting,
racing etc but as far as I am aware it isn't compulsory nor is it a
prerequisite of membership. My guess is that there is a far greater percentage
of our 7000+ members who enjoy it for the social side and the pure pleasure of
driving a Morgan, and what's wrong with that? And if owners want to treat
their cars like a trinket good luck to them; they paid for it!

As for Miscellany it's a fact of life that it will never please everyone but as
Richard points out for those of us in the UK the Club is far more that a
magazine. It is run by volunteers who give up their time freely to organise
the events available to all whatever their predilections. And long may in
continue.
