This subject has certainly raised a good deal of interest and may prompt editors and contributors to reappraise. Here is my two pennies worth. At the tender age of 15 in 1960 I acquired my first "classic" car-a 1936 MGTA. With a knowledge gained from friends and books I spent the next 40 odd years and many late late nights renovating or restoring a number of old cars from MGs ( predominantly) to a 2.6 Lagonda -a genuine barn find. At the tender age of 63 and having gained industrial dermititus as a result of the early years of too late to bed and no Swarfega to thoroughly clean the hands I don`t now need to know how to adjust tow-in or tap out a gasket on the roadside to get me home. A pyjama cord did the trick on one occasion incidently. What I wanted was something that was quintessentially a British classic with a hopefully limited requirement on my part to keep it running. I bought my first Morgan a new +4. I`m quite happy to drive around getting envious looks from especially the younger generation who like me when a good deal younger probably are thinking "look at that old fart- what does he want that for" He wants it because he`s earned it and enjoys the wind in what hair he has left. I can now also afford RAC roadside recovery and possibly an over night hotel if needed. I hope those who read this to the end understand that perhaps many of us enjoy just looking at the adverts although I have failed to convince my better half that we really do need a new Morgan three wheeler or maybe the new +8. I also read all the emails on this forum.
Please enjoy the whole specrtum that is Morgan.
Regards To All
Jan
