Hash: SHA1 Hi there,
i sent this message yesterday, but for some reason it didnt show up on the list... so i rewrite it now. i have a problem with trapping. i set up a service like discribed
in the manual: hostgroup trapgroup 1.1.1.1
i restart mon and the service goes to "failure" mode after 5 seconds. now i use montrap on 1.1.1.1 with this command: montrap -o ok -s still_avail 2.2.2.2 trapgroup:trap
where 2.2.2.2 is the ip of the monserver.
mon gets the trap and the service is ok for 5 seconds, but when its
in
failure mode, its not sending alerts. mon.cgi shows this: trapgroup trap: trap timeout (FAILED, NOALERTS)
another interesting thing is that every trap is logged to syslog. refering to the manual this happens when group and service couldnt be assigned to a watch and no default watch is present. but as far as i can see i specified both service and hostgroup correctly. any ideas here ? thanx alot in ahead.
best regards, Philipp
