You know, it had to figure: I'd say that and it would be Rich who had the epilog! LOL!! Too funny!

I was hit by a car when I was 17.
I was riding my 10-speed, going fast like a bat outta hell and when I go out to a cross street a huge Ford LTD was coming. I did the only thing I could which was to turn in the direction he was going so it would hit me from behind One of my school buddies (this was just before I dropped out) saw it from his house - he said I flew through the air for about 60 feet and I had my arms out in front like Superman flying, and I did a tuck & roll when I landed, so I only hit my hard head on teh sidewalk. But naturally an ambulance came & took me to the hospital.

so I'm sitting in the hospital sort of going into shock (it felt like being drunk) and here she comes.. do yu think she looks at my head to see why I'm bleeding??

NOOOOOOOO

she looks to see if I tore my jeans

My favorite parent line was "if your friends jumped off a cliff, would you follow them". I also thought that was so dumb!!

I remember so well how my parents always corrected my grammar, and I hated it and thought them so "out of touch". It is amazing how I now see everything with my parents perspective!

My teen sons have been taking stupid teenage boy risks (like picking up a downed power line, and jumping from high places), and I am constantly yelling at them "How can you be so smart and so stupid at the same time?", just as my parents did!

I'd be thrilled if they would just add the 'cents' symbol. Also, people have already started dropping upper case letters. Those who have dealt our sovereign language such a low blow will surely burn in hell, Bruce. In hell, I tell you thee.

Hey, no use trying to turn back the hands of time. Before long these acronyms will be allowed in schools, as will the use of "u" for "you", and they will have to add a "heart symbol" to keyboards!

I know than revulses many of you (Kirby?) but English IS an ever- evolving language. No doubt there were many people in the 1600s decrying the then-current vulgar use of "you" for "thou" and "have" for "hast", and look where that got them!

Before the advent of the internet and such acronyms as lol meaning LAUGH OUT LOUD, in Australia, LOL meant only one thing as an acronym.... LITTLE OLD LADIES.....
