I'm so glad that this discussion is taking place.  As I mentioned before, I
do have some slabbed stills - in fact I have three.  They're all gorgeous
and ones I had never seen before, so I tried it.  Truth is, this slabbing is
really troubling to me.   Beautiful original stills (lobbies, midget window
cards) suffocating in ugly plastic with Very Fine and Entertainment stamped
off to the side.  I've been collecting movie paper since I was fourteen and
other than the obvious mission of gathering pieces from actors and films
that are personally meaningful,  the hobby has always been one of aesthetics
and time travel.  Somehow, I can't imagine feeling that way over movie paper
sealed in plastic.
