Hello,
Sometimes I go to my school librarian. If I need 8-10 copies of a  
title, she will contact the state library, the local public library,  
and other libraries that will loan us the titles. I've had pretty good  
luck with this. You might also try the scholastic book club, and build  
up points to order sets of titles.
