During Reading Workshop they have a focus. I'm with other groups working on skills. There are other times DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) when they will just read their books and sometimes I do read with them. I have few questions about independent reading time during readers workshop, do you always give students a task to focus on? Is it beneficial if they just read their books? Do you ever join them in reading independently? Thanks.
