Funny you should ask that, Karrie. I, too, saw that and have asked other reading specialists in my school union if anyone has it. So far nobody has replied that they have it. I'd like to know how it differs from the QRI and other IRIs that specify the types of questions they ask.

Does the DRA2 specify question types? We use the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System, which differs between "in" the text (can look back and find), "beyond" (inferences, predictions), and "about" the text (author's craft) comprehension questions. It's been a number of years since I used the DRA(1) but I don't remember question differentiation there.

Does anyone know about the Burns and Roe Independent Reading Inventory? I was reading on "The Sisters" webpage about this assessment. Does anyone use it, how effective is it versus the DRA2?
