In Firefox 1.0, when the SSL connection is established
without any problems, Firefox puts the domain name from
the cert in the bottom right of the status bar (great!).
It also colours the URL bar at the top yellow (nice!).
It's a great start. (more! more!)
As an example of great experimentation the Firefox guys
also added another padlock inside the the URL bar on the
right hand side. Unfortunately, by means of a cunning
technology called favicons, one can also have ones own
padlock on the left hand side:
