That wasn't Ingos patch, I added this just before receiving his
patch. It compiled fine on my SuSE6.3 dist with gcc2.95.2 and glibc.

But I hadn't checked for strict ansi.

If that line doesn't work, we need an extra parameter "FILE *fp"
for the printing routines, cos the help info has to go on stdout.
