If you use 4DOS as your command processor with win9X you can
redirect STDERR to STDOUT and thus pause it.  For example ">&"
redirects both STDOUT & STDERR while "|&" will pipe both.

There are heaps of other features that still make 4DOS the best
thing for the CLI junkie under Win9x.
