Here is a suggestion [0]: “ albumartist looks for WHAT in AlbumArtist and Artist tags ” cf. http://sima.azylum.org/doc/protocol/database.html I'm not fluent in C++, can you confirm MPD behaves as stated in my changes. More precisely it is not a fall back. MPD does not look for "artist WHAT" only when "albumartist WHAT" is empty. I think it actually aggregates both (which is the behavior I have on my library).
