It seems that someone has removed the definition of MPIR_VERSION from
gmp-h.in. Is there any reason for this? I don't seem to be able to
issue a release without it.
I notice _MSC_MPIR_VERSION is now defined. I don't get why it was
changed. Isn't the former name more sensible? It's needed by configure
for example.
