I tried with a pdf exported from MuseScore 1.3.
The result of the import is definitely not bad: the file was converted and
imported in MuseScore and it just requires a few manual adjustment to
closely resemble the original file. Of course, the source file was extremely
clean :-)
It's been some time since I last used Audiveris and it has certainly
improved a lot, judging from the result I obtained.
Following also Jojo's experience, it would very useful if the import page
was able to display the advancement of the pdf -> xml conversion, or at
least an estimated time to completion.
If I remember correctly, Audiveris proceeds by successive steps (for
example, recognition of system lines, recognition of clef and time
signatures, recognition of notes, et cetera), so it could be useful for the
user if the import page was able to visualize the current step, or the step
at which the conversion failed (in case of failure).

Ciao,
ABL
