I tried Audiveris, and it was complaining about low score image resolution or something: "...with interline value of 0 pixels, either this page contains no staves, or the picture resolution is too low", however the score was 300 dpi and was easily readable for a human. Seems Audiveris requires some manual work on image before its import.
