The Werner OMR is not on the roadmap for MuseScore 2.0. So don't expect any code changes until 2.0 it out. Having said this, pull requests are always welcome.
About Audiveris: very soon we will launch a web service which will allow you to upload PDF files and when Audiveris yields some success with the PDF conversion, it will return you a MusicXML file.
