I bitched about it a lot the past years!!!! after bitching enough I
got the playlist editing in, but (as I said back then several times)
that is not so useful without some way of tracking changes.
The lack of complaints is because users often only use one client at
the time (I don't but that is me) and often don't use playlists at
all. for me and my use, it is a deal breaker, I don't use stored
playlists..

Hmm ok, if nothing happens I change my filter order here. no big deal.

Can there be a difference between them for the client then? so I can
at-least detect to what mpd I am connecting and then add/remove
features from my client accordingly. I know I can check for available
commands, but that does not allow me to work around "quircks" in
commands both implement.
I am just scary that I will end up constantly fixing, working around
incompatibilities and getting loads of bug reports on my client
because X does not work With MPD version Y.

Ok.

I am willing to donate (via paypal) 20Euro is somebody is willing to
redesign and revamp the damn website. I am not the person todo it, my
english spelling is terrible and website design is something I am 1.
not good at, and 2 I HATE!.
I know 20Euro isn't a lot, but it is what I can offer atm.

Ok, good. Sorry I missed your branch on repo.or.cz
