Hmm.  Hadn't thought about that.  You're right, though.  Mutt wouldn't
have any way to know that I wanted to sort the things that start with
"Debian Weekly News" by date since they don't all have exactly the same
 subject.  :-(

The change would help with the score sorting, though.
