First off, sorry to post such noob question in this forum, but after
spending well over 60 hours trying to get this thing to work, I really would
like to know if anyone really has successfully booted a MediaMVP Model 86019
Rev H3 Lot 2706 (US version - not H1/H2) into mvpmc to hit a MythTV 0.20
backend and how they did it. So far I have tried just about every
recommendation that I could locate on the forum, mailing list, wiki, and web
with absolutely no success. I have setup DHCP, DNS, NFS, tftp, mvprelay,
used the perl script, used the python script, tried multiple versions of the
dongle.bin, tried to boot the mvpmc dongle.bin from both Hauppauge and
GB-PVR from Windows, but still cannot get the H3 to boot mvpmc and connect
to a MythTV backend. I have tested and know that my DHCP server and tftp
server are working under fedora. Sniffing the traffic and looking at the
logs, tftp never happens when booting the MVP from Linux. From Windows,
Hauppauge seems to use some form of fragmented IP to download the dongle.bin
to the unit. Also, I just get a reset on ports 6337 and 5906, which results
in failing to locate the GUI on the device if I let it attempt to contact
the MythTV backend server from any boot combination, Linux or MS Windows.
Finally, I cannot telnet to the MediaMVP H3 under any circumstance.

I can, however, get the MVP to load from the GB-PVR or the Hauppauge
software every time all in MS Windows, but it still will not connect to
MythTV (same port issue identified above). Ultimately, I would like to use
the mvpmc software in combination with a MythTV backend. Help please. Any
pearls of wisdom would be deeply appreciated.

Here are just a few of the links to things I have tried:
