No I know that - I only included the snippet from my log file to
illustrate that my dhcp server is working (at least for my old Dell
Inspiron 5100).

What I'm looking for is a way to test if the MediaMVP has actually
'asked' for a number. I don't know much about this but I thought that
the MediaMVP would broadcast a request to be responded by a dhcp server.

As it is now I don't know if the problem is in the MediaMVP hardware or
if I have to look somewhere else. My first thought was a mal-functioning
dhcp-server and hence I included the snippet to show that it is actually
running and working.
