It looks that kind of works, but at least in my testing if you
do any fast forward or jumps later it appears to again fail again
(using any other 1-9 keys, or either of the ff keys).
I am working on a script that you run against a video file and it
will check to see if it should play on mvpmc or not, if not it will
transcode it mencoder. It includes only transcoding the audio
when the video portion is already correct, and it has what I believe
to be a reasonable formula to calculate the new required bps based
on the original bps and resolution to the new resolution.
