Hi Tom... I think, bottom line, we don't know how to get this type of audio to synchronize with the video. I've sent some video samples to Martin and I believe he was able to play back the segments, but I think he did this by adjusting the initial timing relationship between the video and audio. I think (I'm saying that a lot...) if you were to jump around or if the show was long enough the video and audio would eventually get out of synchronization. Martin, jump in if I've got this all wrong. Does anyone know how SAGETV does this (I think they use MediaMVPs as light weight mythfrontends) - or are they also confined to OTA SD TV? Again, if only the mythbackend would take care of this for us ;-). As for Martin's post - I think he was talking about audio only channels (I was confused as well) that were provided by his cable operator and received using his QAM tuner card.
