FYI... Slimserver is in the process of changing their server name from slimserver to squeezecenter. And, yea, they are gon'a change file names and everything. Why? - who knows. Anyway for all you MClient users, I don't think this will be a problem. But please let us know if you (are the first to) run into any problems.
Any problems... Are most of you aware that MClient now contains a way to browse your "squeezecenter's" collection using album covers? This isn't in a release of MVPMC yet, but has been in the nightly builds for over a month. If you have tried this and found any annoyances please post them and we'll see if there's anything we can do about it before the next release of MVPMC. What's next... I was going to add the ability to control another sl.. I mean squeezecenter client. I still may, but it was pointed out to me here and over on the squeezecenter's list that this is also possible at the server end using a plug in. However, MClient people were having problems exiting the server's remote control mode. I think the other thing people are interested in is playing back FLAC files - which is involved as MClient would have to look like a 2nd generation squeezecenter client (currently, it looks like a 1st generation client that happens to know about squeezecenter's CLI port). There is also a request in to use password protection when accessing the squeezecenter. That one's not very high on my list as my network is private to start with. But if enough people come knocking... Anything else...?
