That or transcode the recordings to mpeg2. I don't know for sure it will
work, I have a ATI wonder ve here that I recently moved from a windows machine
to use for converting vhs tapes, and even with transcoding I have been having
serious issues with getting the audio in sync, I never had those issues with
the PVR-150 cards I have nor the ATSC card that I have.

I believe there is a way to do this, hopefully someone will help.

That means that those videos are mpeg1 320x240 it does that, I have a
transcoding script that will change those to mpeg2 at the same resolution,
it will take some time to convert them (anywhere from the run time of the
video to 1/8 of the run time depending on how fast the machine converting
them is).
The script may also be able to convert the ATI files to mpeg2 but may
not have correct audio sync on them. I believe the problem is that the
ATI cards don't have HW acceleration so if the machine is not quite fast
enough then frames are dropped and each frame dropped causes the sync to
get further off.
