I'm sorry, please don't even look at the HOWTOs on the main mvpmc site,
they are well over 3 years out of date. I tried to remove those a month or
so ago, but failed.

So there is no need whatsoever for you to download the original hauppauge
firmware. I shouldn't think it'll do much harm where it is though.

Is the screen you're describing with squares on the one that says
Hauppauge on it? Or the one after that that says mvpmc?

The logs below indicate that it's aparently suceeding in DHCPing and then
seems to be successfully starting a TFTP transfer of the dongle. However
if it's still stuck on the Hauppauge screen it sounds like either the TFTP
is failing, or the dongle.bin you're transfering is maybe corrupted.

Can you put more of the debugging options on for your atftpd? (man atftpd
will tell you the flags you can specify, and you'll probably need to put
them in /etc/inetd.conf and then "killall -HUP inetd").

How long have you had your MediaMVP? AFAIK the non-flash devices haven't
been on sale new for quite a while (18 months in europe, longer in the
US). Have you ever managed to boot anything else on it?

Cheers,

Simon
