I'm planning to rip out the LGPL from brushlib and tear it to pieces. It's 95% my own code anyway. Replacement: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISC_license But no need to mention that license in the guidelines. For code contributions, all we should demand is that they are compatible with GPLv2+. When editing a file, you should agree to the license of that file (instead of adding a GPLv2+ header), but coders in general know this. The guidelines should focus on non-code. > > ---------------------8<---------------------- > > 1. Unless there is a particular advantage of using LGPL for artwork (I don't know, is there? I guess not) I prefer not to mention LGPL at all. ---------------------8<---------------------- 1. All program code and supplemental data files should be licensed under the GNU GPLv2 with the "or (at your option) any later version" clause intact. This includes program icons and artwork for display within the program. --------------------->8---------------------- > I think you can reverse the order of the points.
