Hi everybody, I'm still new to Linux, and mySQL. I have a mySQL db on a
win32 box that I want replicated on my new Linux box. I have managed to do a
mySQLdump on the win32 box and have successfully relocated the db to the
Linux box, I could though, only do it if I was logged into mySQL as root on
the Linux box. When I did that I could never view the data via the web. I
would get an error stating that I could not access the data I was looking
for from my current location.

<breath>

I would like to know HOW I set up my database on Linux so I and anybody else
can read and write to it via a PHP page. The pages are all built and worked
real swell on the win32 box. I'm sure it's a permission thing so I have come
to the experts.

Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if my message rambles a bit, I'm getting
frustrated, the manual helped me move a copy of the db to Linux, but not to
make it viewable over the web.
