Hi! I am new to mysql and this is my problem. The daemon runs well but I can start it only with --skip-grant-tables option, otherwise nothing will work. I set the password for the root user but when I exit the Mysql monitor and try to get in again, no password is request. When I set the password I entered flush privileges, but it returns "0 rows affected", if I try with "mysqladmin...." it returns "You have no privileges". Please, help me... I am almost out of mind for this!
