Thank you for your reply. OK, I understand that. So what are the steps to install the file. Isn't there an RPM or something. Do I take the 4.0 binary and place it an any folder on my box? Then go to that directory and type a lynix command to unpack and install the files? Then, go to the config file (not sure which one), maybe the one in my database and point it to the new mqsql program? I relly appreciate your help.
