actually i've put a lot of time into this and found nothing that helps. the mysql site is a huge pile of code, and i can't find anything that has to do with setup on one's own computer using win2k, or anything about winmysqladmin.You obviously didn't:
http://www.mysql.com - hit the search box and type in 'windows' - 4th, 6th, 7th one down. Took me all of 10 seconds to find. Like I said, you want people to chew your food for you, rather than doing it yourself.
