Oooh.... suppose I should have mentioned that I am an acrylic girl... LOL. I have done all my prosthetic toes with acrylic. And I use TT, so I sorta "drop off" the ball, it is not a press and place system. It is a place, let it flow, pat and stroke system. My brush never even touches the natural nail. Man, the stuff we each do that we never even think of that makes a difference! I never even thought about doing fungus toes with a different product... The brush touches the fungus then goes back in the gel. Ick! I use dispoable files anyway so no worries of cross contamination... They usually only last a month depending on how much nail they have to anchor it to, but they are thrilled to have "normal" feet and become regulars. That allows me to keep an eye on them, and take them off and replace them if they do anything weird. I was orginally against the idea, but my client said "What? Like if it screws something up, they are gonna remove the toenail?!? LOL... already happened..." so I gave it a shot. I have had no problems over the years. Not one single problem. It can be a challenge to build though... :) > >Michelle Cordes, Owner/Licensed Nail Technician >The Nail Spa in Silverdale, Washington >"The spa for your hands and feet since 1997" >www.myspace.com/thenailspa > > > > > ________________________________ From: Michelle Phoenix <wetpaintnail...@gmail.com> >To: nailtech@googlegroups.com >Sent: Fri, June 25, 2010 5:33:43 PM >Subject: NailTech:: prosthetic toe nail > >Can I, and more to the point, should I build a prosthetic gel nail over a nail >that's mostly gone and the remainder is fungal?
