Ok thanks Michelle, I feel better about the rubbery now. I was afraid that using the Shellac, being part polish and part gel, then putting the clear Eco over it, I might be keeping the Shellac from drying completely. One of my clients had a bad experience once. She went somewhere else to get her nails done and got a gel fill and they polished her nails with regular nail polish then sealed it with gel topcoat and you could move the polish around but it wouldn't come off. It took me an hour and several sanding bands and all the patience I had and then some to get that crap off. Angie Wingerter

The second, I didn't use enough clean wiping pads... Now, I have a weird little system where I saturate the hands down pads with alcohol and turn them as I wipe so I can just use one pad for each hand. As far as the sorta rubbery feeling... you'll get used to it. As a tech, it feels like normal polish when you are adding oil and lotion to the client. As a client wearing it, it feels sorta rubbery and weird. Not like gel, not like polish, not like acrylic. It took me a few days to adjust... LOL.... I removed the dispersion layer and it still felt kinda rubbery and a little tacky. I washed with soap and water and that helped but not shiney enough and still a little rubbery. I put on the Eco clear topcoat. Now I have the shine but not hard, still rubbery feeling. Is this normal with Shellac and Eco? I have only used Eco a few times and this is my first time with Shellac and I haven't put any of it on myself. So either this is normal or it is because I mixed these two products. My bulbs are new.
