Marty indicated in an email to the rest of the MLC that he forced the issue to show a problem with the current structure and content of the AUP. There were several decision points along the way where he could have chosen differently. <hat type="MLC member" value="on"> Marty's interpretation of the AUP (that it governs mail between an MLC member and a list subscriber, whether or not it traverses Merit's servers) is not universal, and is currently hotly debated on the admin list. I for one do not share his interpretation. I expect that this will be sorted out soon, and we'll post a note with the outcome either way.
