Marty indicated in an email to the rest of the MLC that he forced the issue to 
show a problem with the current structure and content of the AUP.  There were 
several decision points along the way where he could have chosen differently.

Marty's interpretation of the AUP (that it governs mail between an MLC member 
and a list subscriber, whether or not it traverses Merit's servers) is not 
universal, and is currently hotly debated on the admin list.  I for one do not 
share his interpretation.  I expect that this will be sorted out soon, and 
we'll post a note with the outcome either way.
