Well to offer my input on the $value of a Neotek I own two series 1 consoles.
They are both modular with the molex pins.

The first was a 24 channel 4 buss on a stand, short loaded to 16 channels, all
input strips 1E. P&G faders, No patch-bay all 1/4" and XLR on the back. It was
in 99% working order. It was made in 1987 for CBS Chicago I believe. I
purchased it from Mike at Sytek refurbished for $4000. I bought it in 2004.
According to Mike this was one of the last Series 1 consoles made.

The second one was a 16 channel 8 buss table top short loaded to 12 channels
all inputs had 3 band eqs. Alps faders, Not patch-bay all 1/4" and XLR on the
back I purchased it in 90% working order for $1400. It had lived in a community
college in Atlanta and was built in 1985. I bought it in 2005.

I feel that I got pretty good deal on both of these consoles but clearly the
difference in price was a lot.

The other issue that has a big effect on price is location and shipping costs.
That is always a consideration for these things.

Sorry for the long post just thought I could give a little insight from my
prospective.

Take care,
Jared
