I use unstable. You're talking about only using the stable distribution.

Unstable keeps everything up-to-date, and I haven't had any issues with
it. Currently, unstable is at 1.2.7.

However, I always compile from source for Nessus because I like to live
dangerously :)

Seriously, I think that unstable should have it updated soon (from
whoever is maintaining the package).
