You need to create a new session. Once you create a session, right click
on it and then choose properties. Set all you roptions (and be sure to
enable the plugins) then click OK. At this point, right click the
session and choose execute.

I started Nessus on redhat before i fired up the client on my windows
box
(and i assured it was running with a 'ps -eaf'). I then connected to
the
server with username and password (the username and password i created
with
'nessus-adduser' and the IP of the redhat box). I created the user as
root.
How do i know if it's a super user?

Here is what my windows client outputs once i've connected:

--------------------------------------------------------
SSL connection using DES-CBC3-SHA
Using < NTP/1.2 >
Connection with the server [x.x.x.x] established.
1242 plugins loaded
149 preferences received
0 rules received
----------------------------------------------------------

How do i actually start a scan from here? I don't see any options in
the
toolbar menu for my nessus client. Is it because there are no rules?
