Well, partly that is it for me. I like being able to have multiple
windows on the screen at once. Useless information that makes the
subject lines incomprehensible (because I may not see the actual
subject of the message, which is the entire purpose of having a
subject line in the first place) are a pretty big negative for me.

As someone pointed out early, there are plenty of header lines that
give list identifying information already,

e.g. from the message I'm responding to:

the header designed to actually identify the list

In other words, a list message already has somewhere in the
neighborhood of 10-14 separate headers that differentiate the
message. So we need to add some more list identifying info to a
message? And while we're at it, let's add it to a header that is
used for something else to make it longer and harder to use for its
actual purpose? This is what doesn't make sense. (it kind of makes
me think of bolting a spare tire to the steering wheel of my car)

Now that said, I obviously vote no :), but if more people want it
than don't, it probably should be added.

We're using the sourceforge mail services (Mailman 2.0.9-sf.net),
and as Dave mentioned earlier, this isn't an option for individuals
(unfortunately). Adding this as an individual option ourselves
would be a large burden no matter how it was done.

If the tag vote is yes, definitely, the shorter the better.
