Huh..? Are you sure that you don't mean that it has the *AppleTalk* stack
installed, which is different from *netatalk*. All of them have some sort of
AppleTalk support, but you need netatalk in order to actually use it.
In fact, a stick RedHat 6.2 box, while it has AppleTalk installed, does no
longer, by default, activate it upon restart thanks to some boneheaded
decision at RedHat, I'm sure.
Getting various distros to support netatalk would be a step in the right
direction - I'd vote to get Mandrake to support it first, since they are
usually cutting edge, and RedHat follows-suit with whatever they do...
