In some ways that is wrong. If the telephone and the phone closet are both
impossible to access then it would be hard to listen in. But on a hub based
network all you need is a connection to the hub to listen in.
Lets take a real world example like in my dorm. It would be much easier to
listen into a NM call then a telephone call. The phone is in his room which
is locked and the phone closet is also locked so I have no physical access.
But the network is hub based so I just need to do some packet sniffing from
my own PC to pick up his NM call.
