Supported, but you won't be able to use the sndconfig utility to
configure it.

Check to make sure that there isn't a /etc/isapnp.conf laying around
from the installation attempts with the old card.  If there is, you'll
probably have to reboot to "clear out" that information (that's one of
the few things you have to reboot for -- a new kernel being the other).

After the reboot, try running sndconfig again.  This _IS_ a SoundBlaster
card, isn't it?  That's about all the sndconfig utility is good for.

If it's not, you'll probably have to do the sound configuration by
hand.  It's not difficult, but it's not as easy as choosing items from
the sndconfig screen.
