I have a similar configuration. (On-board OPLSA3 -- didn't work with
old Linux installs -- and an AWE 64 card.) I had to manually edit the
/etc/isapnp.conf file (sndconfig kept somehow detecting the on-board
chip), then everything worked fine.
Your problem seems to be basically a syntax error in your isapnp.conf
file. I'd suggest backing that file up, doing a 'pnpdump >
/etc/isapnp.conf' and then uncommenting the appropriate sections
following what you know of your card's IRQs, memory addresses, and such.
You might also consider reading the HOW-TO on AWE32/64. (I can't
remember the exact name.) You only need to worry about the stuff that
goes into your isapnp.conf file, not getting a different driver and
loading sound fonts and such -- or at least that's all I did.
(I still haven't gotten my external port problem fixed, though.)
