It is true that you can connect to AOL through another ISP, but to actually
get to the AOL services, you need their software.  Either way, that does not
apply to this guy's situation.  For all of that, he can get a new ISP (I'm
sure that almost any choice will be cheaper anyway).
As a side note, if you do use another ISP to connect to AOL (with Windows),
you have to pay whatever your ISP's fee is, and only $9.95/month for AOL (as
opposed to $21.95 I believe).  You'd actually have to switch payment plans
to the BYOA (Bring Your Own Access) Plan.
