As we've found on the Evo listing, there are heaps of niggling little problems that can come of this - one being that you loose your folder settings or sort order - another is loosing passwords - another is loosing the "Summary" settings - overall, having a proper /etc/ld.so.conf file is a basic thing - and some programmers don't necessarily take the time to realise this or make modifications to the RPM's. So, by keeping a check on the /etc/ld.so.conf file, you're ensuring that you WON'T have any problems...Por fin! -- Sat Jan 18 16:35:00 EST 2003 4:35pm up 2 days, 2:18, 3 users, load average: 0.03, 0.10, 0.16 ------------------------------------------------------------------ | __ __ | kuhn media australia | | / ,, /| |'-. | http://kma.0catch.com | | .\__/ || | | |=================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' | stephen kuhn | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |/ ._/ |"""""""""| | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |'. `\ | | | icq: 5483808 | | ;"""/ / | | | | | smk ) /_/| |.-------.| | mobile: 0410-728-389 | | ' `-`' " " | Berkeley, New South Wales, AU | ------------------------------------------------------------------ linux user:267497 * RH 8.0 * PC/Mac/Linux/Networking/Consulting ------------------------------------------------------------------ "You've got a lot of time for abstract thought when you've got your hand stuck up a dead badger."
