I will repeat gmc was a part of the gnome project.
It was discontinued with the release of gnome 2.0

Even should you find an old source it will neither build nor run with
gnome 2.0 meaning that it can not work on 9.0.
The latest Mandrake on which you can have/use gmc is 8.2
