Sorry, Richard, I misunderstood you. I really don't have much to offer you. I don't use it much, but when I want to upload to my website I just put in address, username and password on the top line. It immediately starts the connection - I don't need to tell it to. I can't think what may be going wrong for you, sorry. Anne
