Thanks Stephen, you gave me the search words I needed to google. You are 
right, there are a ton of them out there, mostly the kind you have to 
subscribe to a host. But, your CGI/PERL clue gave me a plethora of info on 
books and tutorials to use. My HTML book doesn't say much about hit counters 
and I am such a novice at any kind of coding that I don't know the right 
question let alone the answer. Thanks again,
