Glad you got it going, but I really don't understand this. My dvd
drive is my main reader, and it's set to supermount. I don't have
any trouble reading Warner Bros. films on it with xine, which I
couldn't do before installed dvdcss.

It just a few that will not, from any specific manufacturor either. They're all different.

You're not going to believe this, I certainly don't want to!

This morning I rebooted the machine, checked the xine...sure enough still worked, the films loaded.

Reading the mails I thought I'd check one of my older DVD's that wouldn't load (Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense, how apropiate): Well it wouldn't.
Disabled supermount, tried again: It wouldn't.
rebooted: Still wouldn't.
Stuck in the ones that did work: They wouldn't!!
Rebooted thrice (supermounted enabled and disabled) and I'm still back at square one i.e. still can't read 'em.....snarling at the dog and the cat now.

This is driving me round the bend:o(
I can hear the drive try to spin up, xine (or any of the others) can't seem to read the MRL list.

Grrrrrrrrr,
HarM
